Saskatchewan contractor fined for unpaid wages

LAFLÈCHE, Sask. – Langman Contracting Inc., a company specializing in agricultural, steel frame and commercial building, has plead guilty in Assiniboia Provincial Court for violating the Saskatchewan Employment Act by failing to pay wages to workers within 14 days following the end of employment.
On Jan. 11, the Court fined Langman $1000 plus a $400 victim surcharge. Initial charges date back to August 2023, with all employee wages having since been collected. With this, charges against the company’s corporate directors, Graeme and Vaughn Langman, have been withdrawn.
