The very first Canadian Lift of the Year Under 20 Tonnes & Over 20 Tonnes Awards were handed out to Mammoet Canada Western Ltd. during the closing banquet of the Crane Rental Association of Canada’s annual conference.

“We are thrilled to be the first winners of the Canadian Lift of the Year Awards” says VP Operations and General Manager, Gijs Verdeijen. “We hope that many companies will enter the contest next year as it is a way to learn from one another and celebrate the great work being accomplished in this industry” concludes Verdeijen.

The conference, held in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., included application presentations that were delivered by Curtis Barnett, Regional Director, based in Fort McMurray, Alta., to a live audience on May 18.

“We congratulate Mammoet Canada Western Ltd for showcasing two great lifts”, said Trevor Eckert, newly elected Chair of the Board. “Awards of this nature are important educational tools for all crane rental operations and Mammoet did not disappoint” he added.
