Konecranes won its largest-ever reach stacker contract from a customer in Germany. The contract is for the delivery of 39 Konecranes SMV 2216 TC3 reach stackers with modifications to allow for the stacking of 22-ton, 16-ton and 6-ton containers.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q3 2020 and run until Q1 2021.

“This was a long-negotiated contract that involved many people across the organization, and we are pleased with the result and grateful for the work done with our partner, Richter Fördertechnik GmbH & Co. KG,” said Ralf Gowin, sales manager Germany for Konecranes Lift Trucks.

“We are honoured to have received this, our largest reach stacker order ever. Germany is a very important market for us, and this particular order shows great trust in our service support. The cooperation with Richter was key to the awarding of this contract,” said Patrik Starck, regional sales director Europe at Konecranes Lift Trucks.
