Konecranes opens service centre for after-hours calls

Konecranes job coordinators troubleshoot customer service calls at the company’s new after-hours call centre at Konecranes Region Americas headquarters in Springfield, Ohio.

Konecranes has opened a dedicated call centre at its Region Americas headquarters to field customer service calls after-hours and on weekends.

The centre in Springfield, Ohio, is staffed with Konecranes personnel who have been trained to provide correct service response.

“In the past, after-hours and weekend service calls were taken by a third-party answering service who coordinated a call-back from the local service branch,” explains Brian Carpenter, director, office operations, AME, in a statement.

“Before, customers would have to explain their issue at least twice. Now they can get a Konecranes coordinator working on their situation with just one call.”

Carpenter says that Konecranes is actively recruiting to expand its staff of administrators and coordinators, who connect customers with Konecranes technicians at each local service branch.
