OAKVILLE, Ont. – Canadian heavy equipment supplier Cropac is the first company in the country to add the new Tadano GT-800XL-2 truck crane to their inventory.

The GT800XL-2 is an 80-ton truck crane featuring a five-section, 154.3-inch power boom, a bi-fold jib ranging from 33.1 to 58.1 feet in length and a self-removable counterweight. The truck crane has a maximum speed of up to 105 kilometers per hour.

The vehicle’s design is ideal for taxi crane services, with its narrow transport width and long boom designs allowing for easy permitting for special transport.

“Everyone knows the quality of Tadano cranes, and this new truck crane will be a great fit for our customers and the truck crane industry in Canada. Plus, the 80-ton rental market is popular throughout Canada,” said Andy Whitehouse, Cropac’s general manager for Tadano & Kobelco products.

The excitement around this new addition extends beyond Cropac and into its network of clients, with the GT-800XL-2 having already been presold to DMD Building Systems, a Canadian company specializing in structural steel and exterior wall systems.
