Kobelco’s G-2 series showcases at CONEXPO-CON/AGG

January 30, 2020  By Kobelco

Three Kobelco Crawler Crane G-2 series will be shown CONEXPO-CON/AGG. These innovative cranes have been engineered using input from customers’ jobsite experiences; incorporating ease of transport, ease of assembly and disassembly, and many other user-friendly concepts.

Features include cab commonality throughout the product line, incorporating hydraulic over hydraulic design controls for exceptional controllability and reliability. Two-speed swing and two-speed travel systems provide the power and manoeuvrability that crawler crane users expect in a multitude of job site conditions. Also, all G-2 Series models feature Tier IV final engines, fully warranted and supported by Kobelco.

Other features of the G-2 Series include boom, carbody, and track side frame structures designed with ease of transport in mind. Large touch screen design LMI’s feature intuitive controls for ease of operator programming, and the LMI screens feature gauge clusters with a vast amount of operating condition information. The LMI’s also come with standard additional load charts programmed, such as reduced counterweight, barge and clamshell. The cab also includes a standard swing limiter for jobsite safety.

The two-speed travel provides a maximum travel speed of 1.07 mph. Crane operating weight is 198,500 lbs. with basic boom. The basic two-drum carbody transport weight is 95,800 lbs., with tracks installed. Maximum rear counterweight of 69,100 lbs., and maximum carbody counterweight of 31,800 lbs. is standard equipment.

CK2750G-2:

The CK2750G-2 has a maximum lifting capacity of 550,000 lbs. Its boom configuration can range from 50 to 300 ft. The maximum length 100’ fixed jib offers a maximum lifting capacity of 58,200 lbs. The maximum combination of boom and fixed jib is 350 ft. It’s equipped with a HINO engine that is rated at 363HP and is water-cooled, vertical in-line, direct-injection, turbo-charged model with an intercooler. The crane’s fuel tank capacity is 106 gallons.

The main and auxiliary winches have a maximum line speed of 361 ft. /min., and a rated single-line line pull of 56,700 lb/f. The two-speed travel provides a maximum travel speed of .69 mph. Crane operating weight is 483,925 lbs. with basic boom. The basic two-drum carbody transport weight is 102,000 lbs. Maximum rear counterweight is 200,650 lbs., and maximum carbody counterweight of 60,240 lbs. is standard equipment.

CK3300G-2:

The new CK3300G-2 hydraulic crawler crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 330 US tons (300 metric tons) for standard crane, and 385 US tons (350 metric tons) with a Super Heavy Lift (SHL) attachment. There are numerous CK3300G-2’s now working on various job sites in North America, but CONEXPO is the first time Kobelco will exhibit this new model in North America.

Mobile cranes are now being required to have higher lifting capacities, as well as improved productivity and safety. Kobelco’s response was to develop this “versatile” crane that can handle a wide variety of applications in different jobsites by utilizing Kobelco’s s time-proven technologies in production of multi-purpose cranes.

These cranes are well-suited to work in a full range of applications across a wide variety of industries, from pile driving to steel erection, tilt-wall work, industrial equipment installation, and other heavy lifting jobs.

Training Simulator:

Kobelco has built a “G” Series service training simulator that is being used to train service personnel from dealers to crane owners. The simulator is built to be shipped to the customer’s yard for schools onsite. Kobelco schools are free of charge because it is their belief that the more people who know the systems, the easier it is to minimize downtime. The G-Series simulator will on display at ConExpo.

The G-2 series cranes lifting capacities range from 80 to 330 U.S. tons for North America and 60 to 300 metric tons for Europe.
