TORONTO – Construction on the 26-storey Adagio condominium in Bloor-Yorkville, one of Menkes Developments’ seven active projects across the GTA, has passed the halfway point.

The building features design from Giannone Petricone Associates, which sees the project being embedded into the historic Langston House building from 1883 at street level.

Previously, the project’s rooftop featured a tower crane beside a lattice of rebar laid for prepare concrete pours. The conduit for the build’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) system has been threaded amidst the rebar to be embedded into each concrete slab.

Currently, 15 storeys of the building are complete. An external hoist system runs alongside the building and platforms for staging materials have been installed, extending from both north and west elevations. When completed, the Adagio will stand 85 metres tall and feature 202 residential units.
