September 20, 2023  By Liebherr

Crane, Rigging, and Hauling experts, Snell Crane Service, took delivery of Liebherr’s LTM 1120-4.1 to further expand their growing fleet and provide superior services in the Pacific Northwest.

With over 25 years of experience, Snell Crane Service offers top-of-the-line crane, rigging, and hauling services throughout Washington and Oregon. The company recently acquired a Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 mobile crane to enhance their growing fleet and assist with moving large or bulky loads.

The addition of the LTM 1120-4.1 expands the Snell fleet to 19 cranes, 6 of which are Liebherr cranes.

“We needed a crane that fit between our 60-ton truck crane and 245-ton all terrain crane,” noted Andy Stone, Crane Superintendent. “Liebherr has always been a very reliable product for us and the technical support is top notch.”

The company specializes in many crane, rigging, and hauling services including bridge girders, tilt ups, cell tower installation, precast work, HVAC replacement, underground utilities, and many other construction and crane needs. Providing safe and reliable services, Snell Crane Service takes pride in their commitment to their customers and building long-lasting relationships.

“The LTM 1120-4.1 is a perfect addition to Snell Crane’s diverse crane fleet, and it really enhances the service and capability that they can provide to their customers in the region. The long 217’ telescoping boom on a compact 4-axle carrier provides them with so many opportunities to handle projects that would generally take a much larger crane,” noted Damien Knight, Liebherr Regional Sales Manager of the Pacific Northwest. “We also identified the LTM 1120-4.1 as a crane that transports very well in the region requiring minimal support equipment to haul the counterweight to perform most jobs. Adding in Wind Speed Load Charts to our VarioBase and VarioBallast technology makes this crane very user friendly and capable to take on so much with ease in a variety of job site conditions.”

Power and precision

The LTM 1120-4.1 was first unveiled to the world at Conexpo 2020 in Las Vegas, NV. This mobile crane has remained the most powerful 4-axle crane on the market. The 217 ft (66 m) boom is the longest in this crane class and the crane has extremely high lifting capacities when fully raised. This increases flexibility and saves transport costs, as this crane can tackle jobs which would normally require a 5-axle. The LTM 1120-4.1 mobile crane is ideal for erecting radio masts or tower cranes and also features time-tested technology in the form of VarioBase and VarioBallast.
