Man in distress climbs crane, police negotiate with him for an hour

A man in distress was taken safely into custody after he climbed on top of a crane in Kitchener, Ont. on Tuesday around 3:15 a.m. in the area by Waterloo Regional Police.

Police negotiated with him for about an hour before he was safely brought down.

No one was physically hurt, and the man was taken to hospital for an assessment.
