Panel upholds OSHA citation against TNT Crane & Rigging

A federal panel upheld an OSHA citation against TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. six years after the case went to court.

The Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission in a decision released Friday ruled that TNT, headquartered in Houston, Texas, had violated safety rules intended to prevent construction cranes from being dangerously close to electric power lines.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited the firm after a 275-ton capacity crane being disassembled in May 2016 touched a 14,400-volt power line.
