“With David Morley as chair and Andrew Pariser as vice-chair, we are confident that Skills Ontario will continue to create career pathways that change lives for Ontario’s youth,” said Ian Howcroft, CEO of Skills Ontario.
Both new board members share an interest in advancing opportunities for youth skills development in the skilled trades, said a press release. Morley has experience in infrastructure leadership across both the private and public sectors, while Pariser’s role at RESCON has seen him advocate on behalf of the industry and its growth.
The board’s 2024-25 chair, Mohawk College’s president Paul Armstrong, will continue his involvement with Skills Ontario’s board in the role of past chair. The board also includes representatives from Ontario Power Generation, Eastern Construction, Deloitte and Humber Polytechnic.
