Terex’s new RT 100US rough terrain crane was designed with specifically to meet customer needs.

“Our development efforts for the Terex RT 100US crane revolved around the needs of our customers” explains Dr. Suresh Natarajan, director of product management for rough terrain cranes at Terex Cranes. “We’ve seamlessly integrated a lot of great features that will help our customers be more productive on the job, while reducing transportation costs. Safety, quality, reliability and performance have been key areas that help sustain the residual value of the crane when customers decide it’s time to upgrade to a new machine.”

The 47-metre (154 feet) main boom offers long reach and three boom modes for competitive performance and productivity. Three boom modes include the unique synchronized boom mode, in addition to strength and stability modes.

Compact and maneuverable
The RT 100US is cost effective to transport and operate. It has a narrow width of just 3m (9.8 ft) and removable counterweight, which allows it to be trailered without weight and width restrictions in most situations. Once on site, it features four steering modes, including two-wheel, four-wheel, crab and independent rear axle steering for easy positioning and extensive versatility.

Demag tech inside
The RT 100US introduces the new IC-1 control system for RTs. Built on the field-proven Demag technology and customized to the needs of rough terrain operators, the system delivers precise and smooth control of swing movements and gives operators access to real-time information for quick diagnostics in the field.

Safety first
The crane features a new ergonomic cab design with an 18-degree tilt and an easy to access flat deck for safety, superior usability and comfort.
