The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s (SC&RA) 2022 Annual Conference will be held April 25-29, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
This Association event represents the premier place for industry leaders to do business. Held each year in April, the Annual Conference attracts owners, CEOs, top managers and leaders throughout the construction and transportation industries. Highlights include education sessions by well-known authors and speakers, committee meetings, receptions, and numerous networking opportunities.
This year’s event also includes an opportunity to choose from three different Washington, D.C., tours, and attend the popular fundraising gala, numerous receptions, the renowned Job of the Year competition, and the engaging Exhibit Center.
With every SC&RA Annual Conference, the week offers full access to committee meetings and educational sessions that help to inform, inspire and move the industry forward. Scott Ketcham, Director of Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Directorate of Construction, and representatives from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will address members. In addition, local transportation department officials will be in attendance within select committee meetings. Several union officials have been invited to speak as well.
Featured within the educational track this year is an assortment of industry veterans, covering a range of topics from insurance and risk management to business succession and estate planning. To that end, brothers Lee and Terrance Resnick, both with Resnick Associates/Resnick Succession Group will do a deep dive into how SC&RA companies can prepare for new tax proposals and protect their businesses and overall wealth.
Additional speakers at this year’s Annual Conference include Ben Nemtin, set to deliver the Opening Session: “5 Steps to Make the Impossible Possible”; Will Bowen, delivering “Complaint Free Business”; and John Petz, who will present: “It’s Showtime: Discover Your Performance Mindset.”
The Closing Night Awards & Recognition Dinner will be held April 29. This black-tie affair showcases the industry’s most notable achievements throughout the previous year, and includes the presentation of the Jobs of the Year award winners.
Of note for 2022: proof of vaccine is not required to attend the Annual Conference. Additionally, no testing is required. And non-SC&RA members can attend this event for free when they join the Association. Members of the media have special rates as well.
