Hiab appoints Barry McGrane to lead North American sales and services operation
Hiab, part of Cargotec, appointed Barry McGrane as vice-president of sales and services, North America, Hiab, as of May 1, 2018. In this position he will lead Hiab’s sales and services operation in the U.S., where Hiab is a leader in on-road load handling equipment and services.
He will report to Scott Hall, senior vice-president of sales and services, Hiab, as a member of the global Hiab sales and services leadership team. An engineer by education, McGrane has been with Hiab for over 17 years. He held positions in R&D and since 2015 has been director, sales and product management for Hiab’s truck-mounted forklifts business line, for which North America is the most important market.
“I warmly welcome Barry in this role leading sales and services for Hiab in North America. The U.S. market is a Hiab stronghold, where we manage the most comprehensive owned dealer and service network covering the country. Barry’s mission, backed by a dedicated organization, is to further build our market leading position with Hiab loader cranes, Moffett and Princeton truck-mounted forklifts, and address the commercial hooklifts segment with our recently introduced Multilift offering. Working closely with Hiab’s tail lifts organization under the renowned Waltco brand, using the strength of our service network and offering, and leading the market with connected solutions – we hold all the elements for further successful growth as the preferred partner in the U.S. for our customers,” Hall said.
McGrane succeeds Russ Parisi, vice-president of sales and services, North America, who decided to leave and pursue his professional career outside of Hiab and Cargotec.
“I would like to sincerely thank Russ for his valuable contribution to the company over the past three years and wish him every success in the future,” Hall said.
