Vancouver-based Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers sold more than 7,300 equipment items, including at least 40 cranes, during an unreserved public auction in Edmonton in early September.

The sales totalled over C$101 million in attracting more than 9,850 bidders from 50-plus countries, said a Ritchie Bros. news release.

Among the cranes sold at the four-day auction, which took place Sept. 9-11, were the following:

• a Manitowoc 888 230-ton crawler crane for C$620,000;

More than half of value of the sales — C$58 million — was to online bidders.
