Concrane Sales named ENG Cranes exclusive tower crane distributor in Ontario

Toronto – Concrane Sales has been named the exclusive distributor in Ontario for ENG Cranes’ range of luffing jib cranes, flat-top hammerhead cranes and derricks.

Based in Reggio Emilia in northern Italy and with a branch in San Francisco, Calif., ENG Cranes has been designing and manufacturing their line of tower cranes, winches as well as custom solutions since 1981. With luffers ranging from eight to 20 ton and flat-top hammerheads ranging from four to 40 ton, ENG Cranes have equipment erected all over Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America, including British Columbia and Nova Scotia. The first ETL253 20 ton luffer and EDKH185 25 ton derrick are set to be erected in Toronto, Ontario in Fall 2020.

“We worked with ENG Cranes’ designers and engineers to assist in developing standards for any crane coming to Ontario—whether it’s a luffer or a hammerhead,” said Ricky Redigonda, president of Concrane Sales. “The cranes must be able to move fast and be powerful enough for our high-rise buildings. They must also be able to withstand our winter weather and, most importantly, the cranes must be safe. ENG Cranes have taken all of our recommendations and have developed equipment we’re really excited to have in Toronto.”

“I’ve been working with Ricky for over 20 years,” said Massimo De Lazzero, ENG Cranes export manager. “With his experience and the relationship I have built with him and now his grandson Daniel (Wright), it just made sense for Concrane Sales to represent ENG CRANES in Ontario, Canada.”

We’re confident we have developed the right equipment to tackle the harsh weather conditions and long working hours typical to jobsites in Ontario.”

Some of the improvements and features of the ENG Cranes lineup include:

• 110KW hoist winch with large hoist drum (takes 3,600 linear feet of hoist cable)
• luffing speed 1.5min
• upgraded hoist and boom gear boxes
• load cell with double channel and double inclinometer on the A-frame and heel section of the boom as opposed to the tip for safety
• emergency brake installed on the boom (optional on the hoist)
• automatic lubrication system installed for the turntable bearing
• all-in-one large, climate-controlled cabin with all electrical panels included for easier maintenance and communication from operator and technician
• ABB Electronics drives (can be locally sourced)
• Schneider logic control and contactors (can be locally sourced)
• software available with remote programming
• crane arrives prepared for CSA inspection
• winterized electrical components
• crane can accommodate HA20 and HD23 tower sections (can be designed to accommodate other tower sections upon request)
• galvanized catwalk, ladder, platforms and railings around the counter jib
• structures are sandblasted and coated with an antirust zinc base followed by an additional coat of paint
• custom upgrades can be accommodated upon request
• includes 24-month warranty from the day of loading
